गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ Four ministers lose seats in parliament Politics Four ministers lose seats in parliament CPN (Maoist Center) removes four ministers of Oli-led govt as lawmakers after they joined CPN(UML) KathmanduPati April 08, 2021 KATHMANDU – Four CPN (Maoist Center) lawmakers, who joined CPN (UML) have lost their seats in the parliament. CPN (Maoist Center) has removed Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Lekhraj Bhatta, Prabhu Sah and Gauri Shankar Chaudhary as lawmakers after they quit the party and joined the main governing CPN (UML). During a session of the House of Representatives (HoR) held on Thursday, House Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota read out the CPN (Maoist Center)’s letter of four lawmakers’ termination of the party membership. With this formal letter, all of them will cease to become members in the parliament. They were all elected as members of the House from CPN (Maoist Center). Seeking written clarification from four lawmakers who were also ministers in KP Oli-led cabinet, CPN (Maoist Center) had instructed them to quit the government. CPN (Maoist Center) decided to remove them as lawmakers after they refused to return to the party.
