In a message on the occasion of the Jitiya festival, he said this festival observed in the Tarai region has established as a festival indicating Nepal’s one of the unique identity. “Our culture and rituals have their own special characteristics of identity. The Jitiya festival is also one of those festivals promoting goodwill and unity. I believe this festival will deepen the love, compassion and dedication between all the mothers and their offspring,” the PM said. He said the Government of Nepal is committed to preserving and promoting the festivals, internalizing the special significance of these festivals including the Jitiya festival. He also urged one and all observing the Jitiya festival to celebrate it fostering unity, and with joy and fervor.
