During the visit, Chief District Officer Rabindra Prasad Acharya briefed the Minister about the losses caused by the flood during this monsoon and the reconstruction plan of the damaged infrastructures. On the sidelines of the inspection, the Home Minister held a meeting with chiefs of district-based security bodies and government offices and directed for a prompt and effective service delivery. Taalgaun has been affected most by the flood. On the occasion, former Minister of State for Labour, Tek Bahadur Gurung, requested the central government for supporting the livelihood of disaster survivors and addressing the post-flood recovery needs in the affected areas.
