गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Politics ∕ Poudel faction meets to pick common candidate for party president Politics Poudel faction meets to pick common candidate for party president KathmanduPati December 08, 2021 KATHMANDU – A faction within the Nepali Congress (NC) close to senior leader Ramchandra Poudel is currently holding a meeting to determine a common candidate for NC president for the party’s upcoming 14th General Convention. The meeting being held at Anupam Foodland at Battisputali, Kathmandu will fix the candidate name to vie for the post of party president in the national convention. The meeting will also decide on the candidates to contest for the central members and other office-bearers. Present in the meeting are senior leader Poudel as well as other leaders. Poudel briefly attended the meeting and remarked that all four hopefuls from his faction will not attend the meeting and he will abide by all decisions made by the attendants of today’s meeting. The central members and president hopefuls belonging to Poudel faction could not determine the candidates for the party president on Tuesday. Today’s meeting was called to decide on the same. The ruling party NC is going to hold its much-awaited 14th national convention from December 10-12 in Kathmandu this year.
