MP Bhimsen Das Pradhan informed RSS that he had received a notice for the parliamentary party meeting to be held at Lhotse Hall of the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor at 9:00 am on Tuesday. The agenda of the meeting has not been spelled out in the notification. Pradhan said that the meeting may have been convened to discuss the impeachment motion against the Chief Justice and the MCC grant assistance. On Sunday morning, 98 lawmakers from the three major parties in the ruling coalition, led by Nepali Congress, filed an impeachment motion against Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana. It may be noted that the main opposition party CPN (UML) is meeting today to discuss the same issue. The next parliament meeting has been called for February 18.
