The Minister called and directed chiefs of the respective sectors at the Ministry today, according to Ministry Spokesperson Phinandra Mani Pokharel, who was also present in the meeting. Others present on the occasion were Home Secretary Tek Narayan Pandey, Chief of the employees administration division, Tek Bahadur KC; Director General of the Department of Immigration, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai; and Chief Immigration Officer at TIA, Pushpa Raj Shahi; General Manager Prem Nath Thakur, technical security chief Teknath Sitaula and corporate chief Mahendra Khanal. The Minister’s direction came in the wake of public complaints about the problems facing passengers at TIA. ATM machines and x-ray machines had to be repaired immediately at TIA to ease customer service, the Minister stressed.
