The constitutional body responsible to conduct election sought clarification from Dr Bhattarai within 24 hours, claiming he committed offence as per Election (Offence and Punishment) Act-2073 BS’s Clause 9 (2), according to Commission’s spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel. Dr Bhattarai, also former Prime Minister, had posted picture in social networking sites today morning where he was showing the ballot paper already marked and sealed.
