KATHMANDU – The Ministry of Health and Population recorded 814 new cases of COVID-19 with no fatality in the past 24 hours.
The new cases came to light in 5,415 samples tested in various laboratories during the same period. There are currently 5,144 active cases of Coronavirus infection in the country.
Among them, 4,985 are in home-isolation while 159 are undergoing treatment in institutional isolation. Likewise, 38 were availing treatment in ICU while five were in ventilator support, the Ministry said.
Similarly, 299 persons got rid of the flu-like infection during the same period. With this, 970,625 have enjoyed full recovery as of now. The recovery rate stands at 98.3 per cent.
There are more than 500 active cases in Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts while Kaski had over 200 active cases. Districts having no active cases were Manang, Kalikot, Mugu, Humla, Bajura and Bajhang. Meanwhile, 11,513 people received vaccination today alone, according to the Ministry.
