She defeated her nearest rival CPN (UML)’s Amrit Khadka by a whopping margin of 18,163 votes. She got 31,136 votes while Khadka 12,963. Similarly, CPN (Maoist Center) Pampha Bhusal, also sitting minister in the incumbent government, who contested from the ruling alliance, received 8,769 votes.
