The candidates who submitted details of their poll spending also include Chairperson of the CPN UML, KP Sharma Oli, who was elected to the House of Representatives from Jhapa constituency-5, said the district election office. His election expenditures were over Rs 1.8 million, said Prem Guragain of the election office. Although there is a provision that details of poll expenditures should be submitted within 35 days of the announcement of poll results, it is delayed by the candidates, he said. Similarly, Krishna Gopal and Mahendra Khayamali of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party submitted the report mentioning that their election spending was zero, he said.
