Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, informed that the total number of infected people in Nepal has reached 54,159. Similarly, 1,173 infected people have been discharged in the last 24 hours. So far, 38,697 people have recovered from the disease, according to Gautam. In the last 24 hours, 8,387 people have undergone PCR tests. While the number of people currently in home isolation is 7,387, the total number of active cases is 15,117. Nine additional people have died in Nepal in the last 24 hours, tallying the death toll to 345.
