The District Administration Office, Kathmandu today issued the certificate to him acting on an application he filed for reacquiring his Nepali citizenship card, said assistant Chief District Officer Devi Pandey Khatri. Lamichhane reached the office at 11:30 am and left at around 2:15 pm with his citizenship card. On Friday, the Supreme Court annulled his status as a parliamentarian stating that he did not have a valid Nepali citizenship certificate. Following the court’s verdict, his status as minister and president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party was revoked. He was elected the Member of the House of Representatives after winning the November 20 elections from Chitwan constituency 2.
