In the meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar, the two leaders discussed contemporary political situation and the election of the President and Vice President. Political meetings have intensified with the date for nomination of candidacy for the Presidential election drawing closer. The CPN (Maoist Centre) is insisting on national consensus on the President. Prime Minister Dahal is the Chair of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and the party has given him the responsibility of making decisions regarding the Presidential election. The nomination for the Presidential election is taking place on February 25 and the election to the President is scheduled for March 9.
