Thompson paid a courtesy call on newly appointed Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat. During the meeting held at the Ministry today, matters relating to various aspects of bilateral relations and further widening the scope of cooperation between the two countries were discussed. The US is interested to increase grants in Nepal through Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and ready to invest in new projects, Minister Mahat said. “US support to Nepal’s economic development is significant.
