Emerging from the meeting, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma, who is also the government’s spokesperson, said that today’s meeting also took seriously to the statements made by the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) on garbage collection from Sheetal Niwas, Baluwatar and Singhadurbar. The cabinet meeting has taken seriously to the statements made by the KMC Mayor Balendra Sah and draw attention to abide by the policy-level provisions on garbage collection, and take needed initiatives for garbage collection, according to Minister Sharma. Furthermore, today’s cabinet meeting appointed Govinda Acharya as the Press Advisor to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Minister Sharma said. Journalist Acharya is the former Chairman of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) as well.
