The former Prime Minister in a message of best wishes today claimed that the UML-led government did ensure safe and dignified life of workers and create a climate for industrial revolution by addressing concerns of workers. It ensured social security of working group and a flexible labour market for employers through the new labour act, he maintained. “A memorandum of understanding was reached between industrialists and workers on the initiatives of the government led by the UML. Through this MoU, there was highest 39 percent increment in the minimum remunerations to workers,” he said.
