A press release issued by President Paudel’s Press Coordinator Khila Karki reads that the President has expressed his interest to bear all expenses of his treatment at AIIMS, New Delhi, in India himself. “In the beginning, President Paudel underwent treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital after he complained of health problems. Later, he underwent treatment at AIIMS Hospital, New Delhi, in India as per doctors’ advice after no significant improvement in his health. It is to inform that the President has expressed his willingness to bear all the expenses of his treatment on his own”, reads the statement. President Paudel had left for India on April 19 for treatment and returned home on April 30.
