Addressing a programme organised on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of Madan Bhandari Memorial College here today, Chair Oli said the knowledge was developed and expanded from Nepali territory. “The first scripture, script and music as well as dance, Nabarasas (the nine aesthetic flavours/essences) in literature and first poem were generated from Nepal,” he mentioned. The UML Chairperson laid emphasis that education should be practical and that it should be useful for the individual and society. Saying educational institutions should be able to provide quality education to students in affordable charge, he suggested Madan Bhandari College to become a model college and institution of higher learning. Chair Oli mentioned that those thrashing teachers could not be students, and stressed on honesty, humility as the qualities of the students.Stating that there are many potentials of development in the country, he shared that many development activities could be carried out.
