A meeting of the Committee today decided to conduct a hearing for Shrestha’s recommendation for the appointment on the post of Chief Justice. The Committee on August 9 had sought complaints, if any, against the proposed Chief Justice, and it has received three complaints. The complaint was required to be in decent language and supported by evidences. On Monday, the Committee will hear from the complainants before starting a hearing over the recommendation. In the meeting, the proposed Chief Justice will give his presentation focusing on his competency, experiences, action plans and concept. Upon the completion of hearing, the meeting will decide whether to endorse the recommendation or not.
