Speaking at a mass meeting organised by the party under its ongoing ‘Socialist Awakening Campaign’ here on Saturday, the leader said people’s right to freedom of opinion, to assemble and so on have been guaranteed, but their socio-economic transformation is still awaited as the class-based exploitation has not been eradicated. The former Prime Minister stressed the need of eliminating hunger from the country to bridge the gap caused by the class-based discrimination. He declared that existing capitalism would not put an end to exploitation, advocating for scientific socialism as its alternative.
