गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ NHRC urges even and judicious implementation of prison term pardon Nepal NHRC urges even and judicious implementation of prison term pardon KathmanduPati September 21, 2020 KATHMANDU : The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has urged concerned authorities to implement the Supreme Court’s order for the pardon of prisoners’ prison term without any prejudices. In a press statement issued by NHRC’s secretary Bed Prasad Bhattarai, the human rights watchdog has requested concerned sides to enforce the order of the highest court for pardon of prison term in line with the Prison Regulation-2020’s Rule no 29. The NHRC has written to the Department of Prison Management regarding the human rights and health condition of the prisoners. The Commission has begun field visits to prisons across the country to monitor whether or not prisoners have received their right to health.
