Having postponed the secretariat meeting that was scheduled for Monday, the chairman duo held a meeting the same day and discussed changing ministers within the Oli-led government. According to a high-level party source, the meeting of the two chairmen of the NCP principally agreed on a cabinet reshuffle. “It was a policy level discussion between the two co-chairs of the party. Based on the consensus, the agenda of reshuffling the cabinet will be tabled in the secretariat meeting scheduled for Tuesday,” the source said. The party’s nine-member secretariat meeting is scheduled to be held at 12 noon at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar. Earlier on Sunday, the secretariat meeting which convened at Paris Danda, the erstwhile CPN (Maoist-Center) headquarters, set four key tasks on the agenda– including the cabinet reshuffling– for discussion and deliberation.
