Following the government’s ease on the lockdown, the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC)’s aircrafts are resuming operating regular flight services to and from Khanidanda and Thamkharka airports. The NAC has put out a work schedule to provide flight services from the Khanidanda airport twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday and once a week from Thamkharka airport on Wednesday. Khanidanda airport is the closest one from the main commercial hub of Diktel Bazaar while Thamkharka airport is situated in the southern belt of the district. A passenger has to pay Rs 4,740 as a one-way airfare for Khanidanda-Kathmandu, shared Khanidanda airport in-charge Nawaraj Katawal. According to him, the Khanidanda-Biratnagar flight which has been regular earlier would not operate for now. It is informed that Rs 4,385 has been determined as a one-way airfare for Thamkharka-Kathmandu flight service.
