गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Govt appoints Deepak Bhandari as NARC’s Executive Director Nepal Govt appoints Deepak Bhandari as NARC’s Executive Director Cabinet meeting convened on Sunday does not make crucial decisions KathmanduPati September 28, 2020 KATHMANDU : The government has appointed Dr Deepak Bhandari as the Executive Director of the Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC). The cabinet meeting held on Sunday decided to appoint Dr Bhandari as the chief of the autonomous government body to conduct agricultural research. Although the meeting was convened suddenly, it did not make any other important decisions, according to a cabinet source. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had called the meeting immediately after holding discussions with Nepal Communist Party co-chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on the cabinet reshuffle. However, no crucial decisions were made during the cabinet meeting, the source said. The cabinet meeting also decided to sign an agreement with Israel on Agriculture and Technology Transfer. The cabinet entrusted the authority of signing the agreement to Nepal’s Ambassador to Israel Dr Anjan Shakya.
