KATHMANDU : Leading businessman Chandra Prasad Dhakal has been diagnosed with the coronavirus. Writing a Facebook status today, Dhakal, who is also a Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that he has contracted Covid-19.
According to Dhakal, he tested positive for the virus on Sunday. Stating that he doesn’t have any symptom, he also said that he was isolating himself at his home.
Dhakal is the executive chairman of IME Group which has investments in banking, remittance, trading, IT, communications, energy, tourism, automobiles, insurance and infotainment including a majority stake in Global IME Bank.
In his status, FNCCI Vice President Dhakal said that he tested positive for the coronavirus despite taking safety precautions and adopting public health safety measures.
He also urged all those who have come to his close contact in the last few days to embrace necessary health precautions and safety measures.
