KATHMANDU – Chief Minister of Bagmati Shalikram Jamkattel will take the vote of confidence of the provincial assembly today.
Chief Minister Jamkattel will seek a vote of confidence in the Provincial Assembly meeting at 1:00 pm today, according Krishnahari Khadka, Secretary of the Provincial Assembly Secretariat.
With the change in the equation of the federal government, the CPN (UML) withdrew its support to the province government thereby prompting Chief Minister Jamkattel to prove a majority in the assembly.
CPN (MC) parliamentary party leader Jamkattel was appointed Chief Minister with the support of CPN UML, Rastriya Prajatantra Party and CPN (Unified Socialist).
In the 110-member Provincial Assembly, there are 37 MPs from Nepali Congress, 27 from UML, 21 from CPN (Maoist Centre), 12 from RPP, seven from CPN (US), three from NWPP and two from Hamro Nepal Party.
