गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Up-grading Myagdi-Baglung linkage road begins Nepal Up-grading Myagdi-Baglung linkage road begins KathmanduPati November 13, 2024 File Photo MYAGDI – Up-gradation of the Pakher-Barangja-Mahesh-Dhapung-Tarakhola road linking Mangala rural municipality of Myagdi and Tarakhola rural municipality of Baglung has begun. The Infrastructure Development Office has started upgrading the Pakher-Barangja section of Mangala Rural Municipality-3 in the first phase with the budget of the Gandaki province government. Mangala rural municipality-3, ward chair Yam Bahadur Roka said the track of the road was opened in 2066 BS and used by the residents of Mangala-3 and 4 and Tarakhola rural municipality of Baglung. Chief of the Infrastructure Development Office, Bishnu Poudel said the province government had signed a contract with NK United JV for the construction of the road at a cost of Rs 58.6 million. The project contract that was signed in June last year is expected to be completed within 18 months. There is a plan to widen the road at a distance of 3 kilometers 500 meters from Pakher to Barangja, improve the turns and grade, and construct drains and walls for drainage, among others.
