Addressing the 55th anniversary programme of Panchamunidev Secondary School at Dulegaunda, Shuklagandaki Municipality-4 in Tanahu district today, he said the nation can make progress only if the citizens are healthy. “A very wealthy person cannot spend a happy life if that person is sick. An educated person also cannot contribute to the country if that person is unhealthy,” the Health Minister said adding that only a healthy person can be a happy person. He also stressed on the need of paying attention to healthy food and lifestyle for living a salubrious life. Minister Paudel also pointed out the need of expanding public awareness on health and healthy lifestyle. Stating that the health subject should be compulsorily taught from the school level itself, he said coordination is being established with the Ministry of Education to that connection. The Health Minister also stated that the government is administering HPV vaccination to 1.6 million girls across the country. According to him, the present government is committed to increasing the reach of health services to the masses. Minister Paudel said education capable of producing human resources who can compete internationally is the need of the day. He described Panchamuni Secondary School as the model school of this region itself.
