गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Forest Officer arrested with over Rs 7 lakh in bribe Nepal Forest Officer arrested with over Rs 7 lakh in bribe KathmanduPati July 22, 2025 KATHMANDU – The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA)has arrested Purna Shankar Yadav, a senior forest officer of the Division Forest Office, Dhangadhi, Kailali, along with a bribe. A team from the commission’s Kanchanpur office arrested Yadav based on information that he allegedly demanded a bribe from service seekers in exchange for facilitating the release of documents related to the Gwasi Community Forest in Chure Rural Municipality–6 and approving a wooden fencing request. The accused, Yadav, was arrested from the Division Forest Office on Monday evening, along with Rs 731,000. Commission’s spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel said that further investigation is underway against accused Yadav.
