Literary figure Uprety had initially begun his writing journey through poetry. He has already published ‘Smritika Chhalma Italy,’ ‘‘Drishtikonka Bibidh Bisauni,’ ‘‘Byakti, Kriti Ra Prabriti,’ ‘Tibet Ma Das Din,’ ‘‘Desh Deshantar’ and ‘Chakrabyhu.’ . In his newly published ‘Ghumdai Firdai Amrica Ma,’ Uprety writes about his travel experiences and reflections during his visits to different places in the United States since 2009. The travelogue structured in 20 different topics presents his experiences in the American context as well as around the American-Nepali society and culture.
