There is no time to become a minister after leaving the patient: Dr. Sanduk Ruit
KATHMANDU – Senior eye specialist Dr. Sanduk Ruit has declined Prime Minister Sushila Karki’s offer to become a minister.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Karki visited Tilganga Eye Hospital and requested Dr. Ruit to join her government as a minister. However, Dr. Ruit stated that while he would support the government, he could not participate as a minister.
Speaking to journalists after meeting the Prime Minister, Dr. Ruit said, “The Prime Minister mentioned that the government has been formed in a complicated situation and I should join to help. But at this time, I cannot leave my patients. My priority is the patients. I told her that I would not participate in the government but would definitely provide support.”
According to Dr. Ruit, he has assured the government of necessary support from outside.
