KATHMANDU – Temporary election police personnel deployed across the country during the House of Representatives election held on Falgun 21 will be formally bid farewell on Thursday.
Nepal Police spokesperson Avi Narayan Kafle informed that the temporary (contract) election police will be formally sent off by presenting them with certificates of appreciation along with special thanks.
According to him, in line with the procedures of Nepal Police, the temporary police personnel will be gathered and thanked verbally.
“We will bid them farewell tomorrow by presenting certificates with special thanks. As per the procedure, arrangements have also been made to gather everyone and express our gratitude verbally,” he said.
Spokesperson Kafle also stated that, if possible, programs will be organized where office chiefs from different locations will be present, group photographs will be taken, and a tea reception program will also be held.
He mentioned that the performance of the temporary police personnel was effective and that their cooperation, discipline, and dedication made it possible to conduct the election in a peaceful and well-organized manner.
“Because of their cooperation, support, and commitment, we were able to maintain discipline and successfully conduct the election peacefully, systematically, and fairly without any major incidents,” Kafle said.
He also added that members of Nepal Police, other security agencies, election staff, and various government bodies of Nepal also played important roles in successfully conducting the election.
According to Nepal Police, 133,938 temporary police personnel were deployed across the country during the election.
