Nepali Congress to Study Gen Z Movement Probe Report


KATHMANDU – The Nepali Congress has formed a committee to study the report prepared on incidents that occurred during the Gen Z movement on Bhadra 23 and 24, 2082 .

The committee, coordinated by senior advocate Yadunath Khanal, has been given full shape on Thursday. It has been tasked with closely reviewing the report submitted to the government by the probe commission led by Gauri Bahadur Karki, and to present recommendations and suggestions to the party within seven days.

According to details made public by the Nepali Congress central office, the committee includes experts from legal and social sectors. Members of the panel are former judge Krishna Prasad Paudel, advocate Binod Karki, advocate Ram Chandra Gautam (RC), and youth activist Yajashwi Rai.

Acting Chief Secretary of the party, Krishna Prasad Dulal, issued a press statement on Thursday outlining the committee’s mandate and responsibilities.

The committee will conduct an in-depth analysis of the findings of the Karki Commission, including damages incurred during the movement and its political and legal implications. The initiative aims to help the party formulate its official position on the youth-led movement and the developments that followed.
