KATHMANDU – The District Police Range, Kathmandu has requested all concerned not to broadcast/publish misleading and unverified information regarding ongoing cases of investigation.
Spokesperson of the range, Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, said that the investigation is being conducted against former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, as per the order of the Supreme Court and the direction of the District Government Attorney’s Office, Kathmandu. Hence, everyone has been requested not to broadcast/publish misleading information on the matter.
Issuing a press statement here today, the Range has said that attention has been drawn to the opinions and information expressed in the social media, including YouTube.
“The investigation is being conducted independently, legally and with the legal advice of the Government Attorney’s Office, Kathmandu, hence it is hereby sincerely requested to all concerned not to broadcast/publish misleading, unverified information.”
