On the occasion, Speaker Aryal instructed the presidents to effectively run the parliamentary committees, a mini parliament. Urging not to reflect any party influence in committee’s activities, the Speaker mentioned that the Federal Parliament Secretariat are always ready to support them. Similarly, Committee presidents expressed commitment to efficiently discharge the responsibilities they have received. They shared that they would forward committee activities by adopting parliamentary norms and values in a new way by continuing old good practices. Presidents of 12 committees–10 committees under the House of Representatives and two joint committees were present on the occasion.
