PMO starts ‘Advice Collection Portal’ to get recommendations on budget formulation

KATHMANDU – The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has introduced an ‘Advice Collection Portal’ to ensure direct public participation in policy and programmes, and budget formulation processes for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084 BS.

The digital platform was unveiled to collect feedback and suggestions from the public and incorporate people’s genuine needs and expectations to make governance more transparent and pro-people.

The government’s policy and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year are being released on coming Monday.

Nepali citizens at home and abroad, experts and policymakers could directly submit their suggestions to the government for budget making and development priorities, it is said.

According to Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s press and research expert Dipa Dahal, the move was taken as per the Prime Minister’s plan to welcome public aspirations and expertise.

Dahal stated that the portal reduces the gap between the citizens and the state, and establishes new trend for good governance.

The citizens could directly share their recommendations at the Prime Minister’s Secretariat by using this portal through the official website of the Office of the Council of Ministers.
