Nabil bank wins Nepal’s best commercial bank award


Kathmandu [Nepal], July 26 – Nabil Bank has been named Best Commercial Bank (Nepal) at the Fourth Emerging Asia Banking Conclave and Awards 2026, held in New Delhi, India in recognition of its performance and banking excellence.

The award was presented by the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on Friday and received by Nabil Bank Director Malay Mukherjee during the ceremony which brought together banks from Nepal, India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand and Bangladesh.

In a statement, the bank attributed the recognition to the trust of its customers the dedication of its employees and the continued support of its stakeholders. It said the award would further strengthen its commitment to innovation and high-quality banking services.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Bhupendra Pandey welcomed the recognition, describing it as a significant achievement for the bank.

The latest accolade follows three international honours Nabil Bank recently received at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence where it was named Nepal’s best bank, Nepal’s best bank for ESG, and Nepal’s best bank for SMEs. Those awards recognized the bank’s strong financial performance, customer-focused services, leadership in digital banking and overall banking excellence.

Nabil Bank is one of Nepal’s leading private commercial banks serving more than 2.6 million customers through a nationwide network of 264 branches and 315 automated teller machines.

Having operated for more than four decades the bank said it continues to advance its “Banking and Beyond” strategy aimed at promoting inclusive growth and contributing to Nepal’s broader economic development while expanding customer-focused financial services.
