The meeting is scheduled for 3:00 pm at the Ministry of Finance. The meeting will bring together the CEOs of all 20 commercial banks classified as “Class A” institutions by the Nepal Rastra Bank. According to the Ministry of Finance, the discussion will focus on the role of major financial institutions in implementing the economic reform measures announced in the national budget. The minister is also expected to seek updates on the current state of the financial market and challenges facing the banking sector. The consultation comes as the government moves to advance reforms aimed at strengthening Nepal’s economy with commercial banks expected to play a key role in supporting investment, credit expansion and broader economic activity.
