Kathmandu [Nepal], August 24 – China and India will hold the 25th round of talks between their special representatives on the long-running boundary question in Beijing on August 25, China’s Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
The talks will bring together senior officials from both sides as the two countries continue diplomatic efforts to address their boundary dispute.
According to the ministry spokesperson, Wang Yi a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs will co-chair the meeting for China.
Wang is also China’s special representative on the boundary question between China and India.
India’s Special Representative and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will co-chair the talks on behalf of New Delhi.
The meeting is being held in accordance with an understanding reached between the two sides.
The latest round comes as Beijing and New Delhi continue using diplomatic channels to manage their longstanding boundary differences and seek progress on related issues.
