गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ Nepal Army chief Ashok Raj Sigdel to visit UK Breaking Nepal Army chief Ashok Raj Sigdel to visit UK KathmanduPati October 02, 2026 Kathmandu [Nepal], October 2 – Nepal Army chief Ashok Raj Sigdel will travel to the United Kingdom on Monday for a seven-day official visit at the invitation of his British counterpart, Nepal Army Spokesperson Brigadier General Rajaram Basnet told Kathmandupati. During the visit, Sigdel is scheduled to hold meetings with UK Chief of the General Staff Roly Walker and other senior British military officials, according to the Nepal Army. The visit will be Sigdel’s first trip to the UK since taking charge as Nepal’s Army chief. The UK visit comes less than two weeks after Sigdel returned from China, where he was on an official visit from September 13 to 19. During his China visit, Sigdel held a courtesy meeting with Chinese Defence Minister Dong Jun and senior military officials. He also visited China’s National Defence University, where he was briefed on its activities and academic programmes and attended the opening session of the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum in Beijing. He is scheduled to return to Nepal on October 11 after completing the UK visit.
