गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Breaking ∕ German ministerial official to visit flood-hit Nuwakot Breaking German ministerial official to visit flood-hit Nuwakot KathmanduPati October 28, 2026 Kathmandu [Nepal], Oct 28 – German Parliamentary State Secretary Barbel Kofler arrives in Kathmandu on Wednesday for a four-day visit that will focus on Nepal’s flood recovery, development cooperation, women’s rights and health, the German Embassy said. Kofler will visit Nuwakot to assess the impact of the Bhote Koshi floods and identify humanitarian and rehabilitation needs. Germany has provided more than 11 million euros for the flood response, including immediate humanitarian assistance and long-term support to rebuild health and energy infrastructure. During her visit, Kofler will meet government officials, civil society representatives and development partners to discuss strengthening cooperation between Germany and Nepal. In Kathmandu, she will also visit health institutions supported by German development assistance and discuss Nepal’s development challenges, last year’s Gen Z protests and transitional justice.
