Talking briefly with journalists at the party headquarters in Dhumbarahi on Tuesday, NCP Senior Leader Nepal also claimed that party co-chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will attend Thursday’s meeting. Earlier on Tuesday, NCP Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had reached Prime Minister Oli’s residence Baluwatar to request him to attend Thursday’s secretariat meeting. He had informed PM Oli that a recent informa meeting of majority of secretariat members had decided to convene the secretariat meeting. Prachanda along with Senior Leaders Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal, Vice Chairman Bamdev Gautam and Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha were present at the meeting. Amid growing intra party rifts, the majority of secretariat members have been teaming up to pressurize Oli to hold the secretariat meeting. However, Prime Minister Oli has been declining to call the secretariat meeting where he is in the minority.
