Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Kiran Gurung laid the foundation stone of the corridor that links Baidi of Ghiring to Devghat. On the occasion, Minister Gurung said that the door of development in the area will be opened after the construction of the corridor. He shared that the provincial government is going to develop the Shaligram corridor with an objective of linking Devghat and Muktinath. Similarly, Chairperson of Ghiring rural municipality Ran Bahadur Rana stated that the Shaligram corridor will play a significant role for the development of Ghiring. An agreement was signed on February 23 to complete the construction of the corridor within three years at a cost of Rs 258.73 million, said Chief of Infrastructure Development Office in Tanahun, Omraj Dhungana. Meanwhile, the construction of a concrete bridge over the Dupardi rivulet along the same road section has begun. Minister Gurung also laid the foundation stone of the bridge.The 20-meter long bridge will be constructed at a cost of Rs 38.3 million.
