A meeting at the state’s Corona Crisis Management Centre held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shankar Pokhrel, decided to make movement at border areas stricter, reads a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s press advisor, Sher Bahadur KC. The state government also decided to make arrangements for the safe arrival of migrants at the fixed India- Nepal border areas by keeping updated health records, and making effective arrangements by establishing a health desk. A decision was also made at the meeting to control shorter route movements between Nepal and India, and to request the district’s Corona Crisis Management Centre to inform concerned employers not to employ people who have not previously stayed in quarantine for at least 2 weeks. The state’s Social Development Ministry has also decided to take the initiative of operating the lab of Rapti Academy of Health Sciences COVID-19 testing, as well as to assign human resources at Corona Special Hospital for an additional three months.
