गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Nepal ∕ Agitations grip Bardibas Nepal Agitations grip Bardibas KathmanduPati November 25, 2020 BARDIBAS – Agitations have begun in Bardibas of Mahottari district today after Buddhiraj Neupane of Bardibas-1, who was injured in a police firing on Tuesday, died in the course of treatment at the Grande Hospital in Kathmandu. Neupane, also known as Sanjaya, had sustained injuries when police opened fire to disperse demonstrators at the Bardibas Chowk yesterday. He was immediately taken on a helicopter to Kathmandu for treatment and passed away on Tuesday night. Demonstrators have obstructed the highway and shut down the local market and all businesses since today after the news of Neupane’s death. Agitators have been holding demonstrations by burning tires at the major cross-roads in Bardibas. Demonstrations have been taking place in Bardibas since Tuesday calling for taking action against the murderer of six-year-old Gulbasha (Gulab Sah) Khatun, the daughter of Shahid Alam of Bardibas-14. Gulab had disappeared from around her house on Sunday evening and her dead body was found dumped in a sack in a bush near the house on Monday. Police have arrested 26-year-old Arun Kumar Saha of Gaushala municipality-5 on the charge of killing the girl.
