Row between NCP Chairs, Oli and Dahal, is current crisis: Shankar Pokhrel

BUTWAL – Standing Committee member of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Shankar Pokhrel has said that a misunderstanding between Prime Minister and NCP Chair KP Sharma Oli and co-chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is the current crisis within the party.

Laying the foundation stone for the Smart Refresh Centre at Pipaldanda of Sainamaina municipality-9 in Rupandehi today, leader Pokhrel clarified that an understanding and unity are the minimum conditions between the two leaders to make the party unification successful.

He stressed that understanding and collaboration is the indispensable requirement in this current situation. Also the Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Pokhrel shared that Lumbini Province is in the front in law formulation, adding that it is the province spending the highest amount of capital expenditure.

Similarly, Chief Whip of the ruling party in the National Assembly Khimlal Bhattarai viewed that the problem of unsystematic settlement will be addressed. Likewise, Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, Leela Giri, and Chief Whip of the ruling party in the Province Assembly, Bhumishwor Dhakal, also expressed their view.

The centre will be constructed on around two bighas of land and the first-phase investment for the same has been estimated at Rs 35.57 million. The Lumbini Province government will also construct such centres in Nawalparasi, Kapilvastu, Dang and Bardiya. Sainamaina municipality has provided the land for the construction of the centre, which will be handed over to the local government after the completion of the centre within two years.

Arrangements have been made for relaxation to drivers of long-route vehicles in the center. Mayor of Sainamaina municipality, Chitra Bahadur Karki, Deputy-Mayor Bina Rana, among others were also present on the occasion.
