Those arrested are from Kathmandu and Pokhara. The arrested one Bibek Maharjan is from Mahalaxmi Municipality-9 of Lalitpur and two others from Pokhara Metropolitan City, according to Central Cyber Bureau. The identity of the two others is withheld as the investigation was still going on, added the Bureau. Spokesperson at the Bureau SSP Nabinda Aryal informed that the police were able to arrest them by launching ‘hackers’ hunt operation’. Technological analyses and investigation were deployed in course of identifying the hacking and hackers. The Bureau informed that they were held for illegally accessing government information and disclosing it. The case invoked Section 9 of Electronic Transaction Act 2063.
