गृहपृष्ठ ∕ Special ∕ Chinese Vice Minister Yezhou arrives in Kathmandu with Chinese President’s message Special Chinese Vice Minister Yezhou arrives in Kathmandu with Chinese President’s message High-level visit from China comes in the wake of growing turmoil in ruling NCP KathmanduPati December 27, 2020 KATHMANDU – Communist Party of China International Department’s Vice Minister, Guo Yezhou, has arrived in Kathmandu. Vice Minister Yezhou-led four member team landed at Tribhuvan International Airport at 1:30 pm via a flight of Air China. The visit of the high-level Chinese official comes in the wake of a growing crisis in the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP).The Vice Minister is said to have arrived Nepal with a message of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the ruling NCP. Vice Minister Yezhou is expected to share the message of Chinese President to senior leaders of both factions of the NCP. China is closely watching recent developments in Nepal including the intra-party disputes of the ruling NCP. The ruling NCP is in turmoil after Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli dissolved the parliament and set dates for midterm election. The move has not only caused nationwide protest, but also triggered a split in the ruling NCP. During his Nepal visit, Vice Minister Yezhou is expected to meet Prime Minister Oli as well as senior leaders of another faction including Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal separately.
