The parliamentary party meeting held at party headquarters Paris Danda on Wednesday decided to remove Chief Minister Dormani Poudel as parliamentary party leader and select Shakya as the new parliamentary party leader. Chief Minister Poudel is in Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli-led NCP. The rival faction of the NCP led by Prachanda and Nepal has registered a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Poudel. Chief Minister Poudel has to win the no-confidence motion in the provincial assembly within one month. There are 81 NCP members in the 190-member provincial assembly of Bagmati. According to NCP source, there are 45 provincial assembly members close to rival Prachanda-Nepal-led NCP.
