Reading out the letter from the President Bidya Devi Bhandari in a meeting of the upper house today, the National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina announced the end of the winter session. In a letter to the National Assembly, President Bhandari has said that the winter session of the upper house has been prorogued from midnight Sunday. Upon the recommendation of the cabinet, the President ended the winter session of the National Assembly. The cabinet meeting held today morning decided to recommend to the President the prorogation of the ongoing winter session of the National Assembly. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli addressed the upper house today before it ended at midnight on Sunday.
